Title: Hyung!

Rating: G
Pairing: Uhh, KiHyukHae friendship? 8D
Summary: Sometimes, Hyukjae wishes that Donghae would revert back to a 6-year-old since he acts like one. Then he hears Kibum in the background saying, “Be careful with what you wish for.”
“Hyukkie! Let’s play!”
Hyukjae sighed, “I’m practicing, Donghae. Later.”
“But Hyukkieeeeee, I-”
“Donghae.”
“Hey! I’m not done talking~”
Hyukjae could almost feel Donghae’s frown even if he had his back turned to the latter. He sighed in exasperation. “Okay, then please conti-” He was unable to finish his sentence as the hyper spaceboy pounced on him, with his arms encircled around Hyukjae’s neck. “ACK!” He could not breathe, AT ALL. “Lee Donghae! You’re choking me!” He tried to pry the invading arms off him.
Donghae had to let go at those words. “Oh, sorry, Hyukkie.” He said, quite sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. “So, let’s play?”
“For the last time, Hae. Later. Now, go ahead. Kthnxbai.”
Donghae pouted. “Fine. But at least give me some chocolate?” he looked at Hyukjae cutely with his puppy-dog eyes. “Please?”
“I don’t have any. Go ask Kibum.”
“But Hyukkieeee!”
“Later. I won’t talk to you starting 3… 2… 1…”
“Hyuk!”
“I’m ignoring you.”
Donghae just pouted for the nth time. “You’re so mean, Hyukkie.” He then dragged himself to the door, shutting it loudly behind him.
Hyukjae clicked his tongue as he watched his bandmate from the mirror. He was feeling slightly guilty that he was harsh on the younger boy, but hell, he was practicing! He shook his head and was about to play the song he was dancing to, but the sound of the door opening and closing made him stop his movements. Thinking it was Donghae, he gritted his teeth. “I told you-”
“Hyung?”
Hyukjae turned around to see what he wasn’t expecting. “Oh, it’s you, Kibum.” He said. “You need something?”
“Well,” the newcomer started. “Donghae hyung asked me for some chocolate and I’m wondering if you have something to do with it.”
“Uhm, no.”
“You’re lying.”
Hyukjae almost tore his hair off his scalp. “Geez, Kibum! I just… just. I don’t know how to deal with Donghae. He’s so… immature! Sometimes, I wish he would just turn back to a six-year-old since he acts like one anyway!”
Kibum looked thoughtful for a moment, then chuckled. “But that won’t change anything hyung, would it?”
“Why, I-” Hyukjae frowned. “Well, that’s… I just wish he was.”
Kibum chortled. “Okay, hyung. Just be careful with what you wish for.”
----
“So, tell me again: who is this?” Hyukjae asked for the hundredth time.
“Donghae.” Kibum answered for the hundredth time.
“…what.” Hyukjae could not believe what he was seeing: Kibum. Kibum with a little brown-haired boy around him. Kibum with a little six-year-old Donghae in his arms. And the little Donghae was staring at him with the I-am-so-cute-it-really-hurts look.
Kibum pinched Donghae’s cheek lightly. “This is really Donghae-hyung. Be careful with what you wish for, that’s what I said. I hate to say I told you so,” He grinned innocently at Hyukjae. “but I told you so.”
Hyukjae ignored Kibum’s sarcasm and focused more on Donghae, who seemed to be focusing on him, as well.
Hyukjae inched closer.
Donghae inched closer (with his one arm clutching Kibum’s shoulder for support).
Then all of a sudden, Donghae whirled his head around, his face all scrunched up. He faced and hugged his Kibumie hyung tighter. “What’s the matter, little guy?” Kibum asked.
Donghae pouted then accusingly pointed a finger at Hyukjae. “His breath reaaaally smells like feet.”
----
It had been three hours since little Donghae appeared, and it had been three hours since Hyukjae tried to contain himself from throwing the kid out, and into the wastebasket. Kibum left to buy a few things, leaving the monster to him.
Hyukjae could not believe that someone can be as bratty as Donghae. If he didn’t know better, he would think that this kid was an alien dressed up as a human being. Well, that was possible. The exasperated singer scratched his head. Donghae had been staring at him for at least 10 minutes. They had nothing to do. Then he had an idea. “Okay, Donghae. I shall teach you Korean.”
“Mmmm, okay.”
“Repeat after me.”
“Repeat after me.”
“Wait, not yet.”
“Wait, not yet.”
“Stop it.”
“Stop it.”
“I mean it.”
“I mean it.”
“Hey.”
“Hey.”
“I’m going to punch you.”
“I’m going to punch you.”
“I’m ugly.”
“You really are.”
----
Kibum rubbed his feet on the carpet before shouting to no one in particular, “I’m home.” The dorm was pretty quiet- no infuriated Hyukjae, and no wailing Donghae. He advanced further to see Donghae with his back turned to him. Beside him was a knocked out Hyukjae. The little boy turned around and Kibum tried to hold himself back from tearing the boy’s cheeks off. His big brown eyes were filled with tears and his mouth was formed into a pout. “Hae? What’s wrong?”
“I… I think… I k-k-killed H-hyukkie hyung,” he said, in between sobs. He placed both of his chubby hands on both his cheeks, more tears threatening to fall.
Kibum chuckled inwardly. He put on a shocked face. “Oh no, Hae, what did you do?” He knew Hyukjae was not dead, of course, but he just wanted to play with the little kid for a while.
“Well, we were playing horsey and he was the horse. I was clutching his hair like this,” he reenacted the way he gripped Hyukjae’s hair on his own, but winced as he did so. “And then when I let go, I did not know that his head would hit the wall! And poof! No more Hyukjae hyuuuung!” he finished, now not only tears were trickling.
Kibum listened in amusement at the boy’s story and decided that it was time to stop messing with Donghae. “No, Donghae,” he said, as he approached the young boy. He bent down just so he was face to face with him. “he’s not dead, see?” He started to poke Hyukjae, who, in turn, stirred in annoyance.
Donhae’s eyes lit up and he hugged Kibum. “You’re great, Kibummie hyung! You’re not weak like Hyukjae hyung!”
Hearing those words, Hyukjae snapped his eyes open. He immediately straightened himself. “Hey! You’re the one at fault here, Lee Donghae!”
Donghae pouted. “No, I’m not. You’re weak! You’re the one who was stupid enough to allow me to let go of your hair.”
Kibum laughed. He patted Hyukjae lightly at the back. “Can’t argue with that, hyung. Oh, and by the way, you have a runny nose.” He said, handing Hyukjae a tissue. “Must be from the impact done to your head.”
The little Donghae, who was watching the whole scene, suddenly asked, “Ne, Kibummie hyung. Why is it ‘runny nose’ and ‘smelly feet’?”
----
“Hae, I want you to meet my pet iguana.” Hyukjae said.
Donghae just stared at Hyukjae, and then at the said pet, then back at Hyukjae again. Staring. Staring. Staring. Still staring.
“Uhhh,” The dancer almost felt sweat trickling down at his temples due to uneasiness. “His name is Lee Soo Man.”
The little kid frowned and wrinkled his nose. “Eww. That’s an ugly name.” he opened and closed his tiny little fists, staring daggers at it as if imagining the innocent iguana inside his chubby hands. “But I guess it’s okay. He’s ugly anyways. So it suits him, right?” Donghae stared at Hyukjae, smiling brightly as if he just discovered something important.
Hyukjae bit his lip and clenched his fists, trying hard not to pounce on the kid. Breathe, Lee Hyukjae. He’s a kid. He’s SIX. And your iguana is cute, he assured himself. He took a deep breath and smiled at Donghae, ruffling his silky brown hair. “He’s not ugly, Hae! Isn’t he like a treasure?” To his surprise, Donghae smiled a bit wider and nodded his head vigorously.
“He really is like a treasure, Hyukjae hyung! So can we bury him now?”
----
The three of them were playing. Or rather, Kibum and Donghae are playing, Hyukjae corrected himself, as he continued to watch Kibum toss the guffawing Donghae high up in the air. They were having lots of fun, while he was just… there. It’s not like he wanted to join, though. He wanted to sleep, actually, but every time he does, his poor eardrums would just end up broken because a certain little brown-haired boy would shout directly in his ears, “WAKE UP~~!”
So yeah, here he was, with his palm supporting his chin, just watching two of his bandmates (technically, one of his bandmates and a kid) with half-lidded eyes and a frown.
It was Kibum who noticed Hyukjae’s silence. “Hyung! Smile, hyung, smile!”
“Wow, Kibum. That sentence consisted of just two words.” Hyukjae said, as if that was the most interesting topic in the whole world.
Donghae frowned and pouted at the same time. (Wow, is that even possible?, asked Hyukjae.) He patted Kibum two times at the head, as if saying, “You’ve been a good boy, Kibummie hyung. Now put me down.” Kibum, getting the message for some reason, smiled at Donghae then set the kid down.
Donghae limped over to Hyukjae, almost tripping along the way, his frown growing deeper and deeper with every step. Once he reached his destination, he looked up at his hyung, stared at him for three seconds, then kicked his knee. Hyukjae winced in pain. “HEY! Why you little space alien-”
Just as Hyukjae was about to choke the life out of the (poor?) little kid, Kibum snatched him away from the rapper’s grasp. “Hyung! Keep your cool down!” Kibum said, shielding the snickering Donghae. “He’s just a kid. Now, like I said, smile! Like this.” He then flashed his famous 1000-megawatt smile.
Hyukjae sighed in exasperation, but did what Kibum told him to do nonetheless. He forced out a smile, running his hands on his hair as if to fix it. He looked at Donghae, who, in turn, was looking at his Hyukjae hyung in anticipation, his innocent brown eyes blinking at every move Hyukjae made.
Just as Hyukjae thought Donghae was going to smile with, or even at him, the latter just widened his eyes. After taking a few deep breaths, Donghae’s eyes were suddenly filled with tears. He turned to his Kibummie hyung, mouth wide open and the previously unshed tears were now running like waterfalls. “Kibummie hyung! MONSTER! His gums are showing and he’s scaring me! I think he’s going to eat me! Help!”
Kibum scooped little Donghae in his arms.
Donghae wailed a bit more.
Hyukjae’s smile cracked.
----
The empty ceiling of their dance room greeted Hyukjae’s gaze as he opened up his eyes for what seemed like the first time in hours. I must’ve dozed off, he inferred. He jolted up as he remembered the little six-year-old shrimp Donghae he was taking care of a few hours ago. He checked his watch, 9:45AM, it says. That was approximately the time he stopped practicing to rest.
It hit him.
It was just a dream!
No little Donghae. No little possessed-by-an-evil-alien Donghae.
“Thank heavens. Good thing it was just a-”
“Hyukkie hyung! Let’s play!”
A/N: Sorry, that was a bit rushed. T^T But at least is KiHyukHae? DDDD:
